Equation (4) page 1842, of Cramer (2003) does not properly represent what is described in the paragraph containing that equation. Tianqing Cao (written comm., 2005) correctly points out that equation (4) should be as follows:

Note that the integral over As in equations (6) and (7) starts at minus infinity because ground motions are lognormal distributions; hence A represents ln A in the hazard calculations.

I apologize for this error in mathematical representation in the original paper. However, this error does not affect the concepts, examples, or results given in the paper as they are actually based on the above equations.
