Abstract

The correlation of Gutenberg-Richter's b value and Omori's p value is studied based on the data of p versus b values for several tens of worldwide earthquakes. Although the distribution of data points is dispersive, a negative correlation between the two parameters can still be recognized. The slope value of the regression line is about -0.58.
