Abstract
To provide a basis of comparison and calibration for many synthetic seismogram programs, time histories of the eight dislocation source and two explosion source Green's functions are provided for simple earth models, computed using several different approaches. In addition, explicit forms of the wavenumber-frequency integrands are provided for an elastic half-space model. Each numberical technique for synthesis has imperfections. However, peak amplitudes agree to within 10 per cent, and waveform shapes are almost identical.
