Abstract
An investigation employing a local seismographic network in the Seward Peninsula region of western Alaska has shown a higher level of onshore and offshore seismicity than had been previously recognized. Several linear trends in the observed earthquake distribution patterns closely follow mapped traces of geological features, principally faults. Seismicity in this region is tentatively identified as of the intraplate type.
