Effect of symmetric undulations of the surface on incident elastic waves

Abstract

The effect on a vertically incident P wave of circularly symmetric undulations of the surface has been studied. It has been found that for certain wavelengths of the undulations, there is a phenomenon of resonance. Also, for certain amplitudes of the waves, there is concentration of energy in the valleys.
