SCHOOL OF RESEARCH AND TRAINING IN EARTHQUAKE ENGINEERING UNIVERSITY OF ROORKEE,, ROORKEE (U.P.) India
Abstract
In September, 1968, six Roorkee Seismoscopes and two Multiple Structural Response Recorders were installed in the Koyna and Pophali area, Maharashta, India. These have recorded the earthquake of 5.2 magnitude which occurred in the region on October 29, 1968. The structural response results obtained and some other relevent inferences possible on the basis of these records are reported here. They indicate the utility of these simplified earthquake recording devices for structural engineering requirements.
