The effects of an oscillatory source in a spherical layer surrounding a liquid core

Abstract

For a model consisting of a single spherical elastic layer which surrounds a liquid core, we consider an SH source located inside the elastic layer, such that the field created by the potential due to the source is axial symmetric and of steady state. The effect of gravity is neglected. The object of this study is to bring the solution into a form which permits ultimate computation of the effect of diffraction on the layer.
