Investigations on surface-waves generated by explosion

Abstract

Surface-waves generated by explosion were investigated at distances between 1 and 20 km. On the basis of seismograms and particle motions two principal surface-wave groups can be separated. In the first group of surface waves the rotation of particles is progressive, while in hat of the second retrograde.
