On the effect of low-velocity channel inside the earth

Abstract

The effect of low velocity channel on surface waves has been discussed. Two periods have been obtained where there should be concentration of energy for propagating SH waves near the surface. A method of solution has been developed which may be easily applied to vertically polarised waves.
