Tsunamis and seismic seiches reported from the eastern Atlantic south of the Bay of Biscay

Abstract

Tsunamis have been reported from widely distributed locales with the area under consideration. They seem to be more common in the Azores and the Iberian peninsula than elsewhere. This may result partly from the lack of, or inavailability of data rather than the absence of the phenomena.
